Dennis Lee Hopper (May 17, 1936 – May 29, 2010) was an American actor, filmmaker, photographer and artist. 

EASY RIDER: Hopper made his directorial film debut with Easy Rider (1969), which he and co-star Peter Fonda wrote with Terry Southern.A landmark counterculture film, and a "touchstone for a generation" that "captured the national imagination", Easy Rider explores the societal landscape, issues, and tensions in the United States during the 1960s, such as the rise of the hippie movement, drug use, and communal lifestyle. Real drugs were used in scenes showing the use of marijuana and other substances.

FRANK BOOTH: is a fictional character and the main antagonist in David Lynch's 1986 psychological thriller Blue Velvet, portrayed by Dennis Hopper. Frank became one of the best-known villains in cinema. 

TAOS: Dennis Hopper bought the Mabel Dodge Luhan House, renamed the Big House by locals, and settled in for over a decade of bohemian life, before finally moving back to Venice, California to recharge his career. He kept coming back to Taos and it is now his final resting place.
