Ingram Cecil Connor III (November 5, 1946 – September 19, 1973), known professionally as Gram Parsons, was an American singer. Parsons is best known for his work within the country music genre. He also popularized what he called "Cosmic American Music", a hybrid of country, rhythm and blues, soul, folk, and rock.

GRIEVOUS ANGEL: is the second solo album by Gram Parsons, compiled from summer 1973 sessions and released four months after his death from a morphine and alcohol overdose in September 1973. It received great critical acclaim upon release, but failed to find commercial success, a fate shared with his previous efforts solo and with The Flying Burrito Brothers. Despite its modest sales, it is viewed as a successful example of the hybrid between country and rock and roll Parsons called "Cosmic American Music".

THE GILDED PALACE OF SIN: is the first album of his group The Flying Burrito Brothers, released in 1969. The Gilded Palace of Sin was not a commercial success Sid Griffin wrote that while Gilded Palace only sold 50,000 copies, "...like the first album by the Velvet Underground, it would seem everyone of those 50,000 went out and formed a band inspired by what they'd heard."

JOSHUA TREE: n the late 1960s, Parsons became enamored of and began to vacation at Joshua Tree National Monument in southeastern California, where he frequently partook in psychedelics and reportedly experienced several UFO sightings. The death of Gram Parsons occurred on September 18, 1973, in room eight of the Joshua Tree Inn, near Joshua Tree National Park. His close friend and tour manager Phil Kaufman stole Parsons’ body from Los Angeles International Airport while it was being readied to ship to Parsons' home state of Louisiana against the singer’s stated wishes. The event was very traumatic for his family, as he burned his body in Joshua Tree and left it there. Joshua Tree is now a place were fans come to pay homage to Gram.
