MISSOURI: Jesse James was born on September 5, 1847 in Clay County, Missouri, near the site of present-day Kearney. In February 1866, 18-year-old Jesse planned their first target: a bank in Liberty, Missouri. He was murdered at his home in at St Joseph, Missouri.

"THAT DIRTY LITTLE COWARD THAT SHOT MR HOWARD": Robert Ford, who killed Jesse, was a James' gang member.
