Pablo Ruiz Picasso (25 October 1881 – 8 April 1973) was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, stage designer, poet and playwright who spent most of his adult life in France. Regarded as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, he is known for co-founding the Cubist movement, the invention of constructed sculpture, the co-invention of collage, and for the wide variety of styles that he helped develop and explore.

GUERNICA: is a mural-sized oil painting on canvas by Pablo Picasso completed in June 1937. The painting was created in response to the bombing of Guernica, a village in  Spain, by Nazi Germany and Fascist Italian warplanes at the request of the Spanish Nationalists. The painting became famous and widely acclaimed, and it helped bring worldwide attention to the Spanish Civil War.

MINOTAUR: The Minotaur theme was very close to Picasso; apparently he identified himself with this creature, its human and animal principle, locked in a maze, hidden from sunlight.

LUMP: was a Dachshund named after the German word for "rascal", owned by David Douglas Duncan who lived with artist Pablo Picasso for six years, and featured in several of his works.Duncan spoke of Lump's stay with Picasso, "Lump had an absolutely pampered life there. Picasso once said, ‘Lump, he’s not a dog, he’s not a little man, he’s somebody else.’ Picasso had many dogs, but Lump was the only one he took in his arms."
