Robert Leroy Johnson (May 8, 1911 – August 16, 1938) was an American blues singer-songwriter and musician.

MISSISSIPI: Johnson is now recognized as a master of the blues, particularly of the Mississippi Delta blues style.

CROSS ROAD BLUES: is a blues song written and recorded by American blues artist Robert Johnson in 1936. Johnson performed it as a solo piece with his vocal and acoustic slide guitar in the Delta blues-style. The song has become part of the Robert Johnson mythology as referring to the place where he supposedly sold his soul to the Devil in exchange for his musical talents, although the lyrics do not contain any specific references.

"ME AND THE DEVIL": is a blues song by Robert Johnson. It tells the story of the singer's waking up one morning to the devil knocking on the door, telling him that "it's time to go".The song has become a blues standard. Johnson's shadowy and poorly documented life and death at age 27 have given rise to much legend.
