Sid Vicious (born John Simon Ritchie,10 May 1957 – 2 February 1979) was an English bassist and vocalist, most famous as a member of the influential punk rock band the Sex Pistols.

MY WAY: is a song Sid covered.In the film The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle the original footage for the track shows Sid Vicious at the end taking out a hand gun and opening fire on the audience, hitting two of the audience members.

CHELSEA HOTEL: On the morning of 12 October 1978, Vicious claimed to have awoken from a drugged stupor to find his girlfriend Nancy Spungen dead on the bathroom floor of their room in the Hotel Chelsea in New York.

RICKERS:Vicious was charged with assault after attacking Todd Smith, singer Patti Smith's brother, at a Skafish concert at Hurrah, a New York dance club.Vicious was arrested on 9 December 1978 and sent to Rikers Island metro jail for 55 days to undergo a painful and enforced detoxification. He was released on bail on February 1, 1979.
