Truman Garcia Capote (born Truman Streckfus Persons, September 30, 1924 – August 25, 1984) was an American writer.

STUDIO 54: In the late 1970s, Studio 54 was one of the best-known nightclubs in the world, and it played a formative role in the growth of disco music and nightclub culture in general. Truman Capote was one of its famous patrons.

IN COLD BLOOD: A milestone in popular culture, In Cold Blood was the peak of Capote's literary career. it details the 1959 murders of four members of the Herbert Clutter family in the small farming community of Holcomb, Kansas. In Cold Blood is regarded by critics as a pioneering work in the true crime genre, though Capote was disappointed that the book failed to win the Pulitzer Prize. Parts of the book, including important details, differ from the real events.

HOLLY: Breakfast at Tiffany's is a novella by Truman Capote published in 1958. The main character, Holly Golightly, is one of Capote's best-known creations. The novella was loosely adapted into the 1961 movie Breakfast at Tiffany's starring Audrey Hepburn. According to Capote, Golightly is not a prostitute but an "American geisha".
